I'm all a Flutter
The new collection from Sretsis for Autumn/Winter 2010 is appropriately titled 'Make My Heart Melt' which is a mere understatement to say the very least. While this collection is not my favourite to date, 'School of Rebellious Sweethearts' was, this one is running a very close second and definitely has me longing for many, almost all, the pieces. I reaally love the first two looks. And how lovely is the background? You know I could prattle on about Sretsis forever but I'm sure you can see why. The newest addition to the growing label is eyewear which I am totally swooning over, featuring little daisies on the wings and available in a variety of candy colours and prints. They have also expanded their focus on jewellery with more pieces available to accompany the collection. Feminine and quirky = LOVE.

X Where the Wild Things Are
This picture makes me really excited about Where the Wild Things Are...
Now I know it's hard to imagine wearing some of these pieces due to our climate (heck it's hard to imagine wearing these pieces at all!) but they are just so incredibly cool that you can't not want one of these! They're exclusive to Opening Ceremony and are celebratory of all things Wild. If you're not game enough to try some of these items there is also a small range of jewellery and t-shirts.

Lace and Lover
Witches Circle Dress
White Magick Dress
Black Magick Dress (from Black Magick collection S/S 06)
In love as always with white lace and Lover.
The White Magick Dress is ethereal, and even more gorgeous than the Black Magick Dress that I always regretted not buying...

I have this Lover Charlotte Ruffle Dress in black, but I wish I had it in the cream too...

Strand SS Soiree
Pop Up
Pop Up stores have been popping up (for lack of a better word) everywhere. Recently Incu opened up a pop up store for Opening Ceremony, which was extremely exciting since as much I desperately wish, we don't have an OC store here. And currently, Yeojin Bae opened a pop up boutique in Sydney and on show is her current Summer 09/10 'Jet Set' and her Spring 10 collection 'Joie de Vivre'. The designer will be instore every day from today until this Saturday, when the stores closes. The store is located at the Challis Studio Sunroom, 29 Challis Avenue, Potts Point.

Comme des Garcons X Converse
Comme des Garcons designed a collection of four sneakers for Converse, each featuring the signature PLAY motif on the All Star 1950's U.S. Army model. They're available in either black or cream and in the oxford or high top. Each retailing for US$100 many online retailers have them in stock now, unfortunately I haven't been able to track them down in any Australian stockists but with the AUD doing so well against the USD why bother trying.

Seeing Stripes
When I was buying this navy and white striped sweater from Subtitled with the same triple button detail on one shoulder, I thought it looked exactly like something that I could eventually find from A.P.C., and lo and behold here it exists. But I'm satisfied with the one from Subtitled; the relaxed fit is both comfortable and flattering, and it is one of the few items I've worn almost immediately since buying (something my sister always makes a point of saying to attempt to deter me from further spending).

Invasive Exotics
I am loving Gail Sorronda's current collection Invasive Exotics for Spring/Summer 10 - especially the Dot Dash Bolero and Dot Dash Skirt in the last image, as well as the Miniscus Jacket with the large front bow and made of 100% silk organza. The photography for the collection is also spectacularly shot as well - there seems to be a Helmut Newton-esque feel to the styling as well as the photgraphy. I really love the slow shutter speeds used for the last two photographs illustrating the delicate and flowing nature of the garment. Beautiful.
